PICKING DISCIPLINE

  • Check Documentation
    • Date
    • Picking requirements – Qty, Product I.D.
    • Picking Location I.D.

  • Relevant equipment to carry out the picking procedure
    • Mechanical Handling Equipment
    • Recording of work completed
    • Understand location of product
    • Relevant storage/movement equipment (sack truck/pallet)
  • Understanding and compliance with timing of actions required
  • Safe picking – area where picking is processed is clear – space/tidiness etc;
  • Check quantity and description of product
    • On pick list
    • Physical stock
  • Action picking requirement
  • Record action on relevant documentation
  • Proceed to area for product to be prepared for despatch
  • Complete relevant paperwork and return to administration office
  • Proceed to next picking requirement
  • Report any problems experienced
